With how Sea of Riches is designed, as soon as you start the spin, all of your rewards have been determined on the 7 Seas Casino servers. This includes any extra free spins you get as you play. If something happens where the game cannot be completed, all of your rewards would still be added to your account. All you missed out on was the animation showing what you received.
