This process is not leveling up a fish. Are you just referring to getting more XP?
Leveling up my fish. They wonât level up and I canât upload anymore receipts (photos)
I purchase the fish, it swims up takes the bait I reel it/ them in I see what the fish is it goes to the aquarium and sits/floats many times no arrow prompting to level up.
I get a lot of repeat fish that will not level up.
If you are leveling up your fish, it is done by clicking the level up button when it is available. Just catching fish is not âleveling upâ⌠unless it is a new fish, never caught before. Also, it takes multiple catches of the same fish before that option to level up the fish will appear.
You can see what fish are able to be leveled up by selecting âsort by level upâ in the drop down menu above the aquarium, it is labeled Stamp Book, and it will usually have an indicator on the open book when a fish is able to be leveled up.
*Itâs important to note that; a) it takes fish chips to level up your fish, b) if you do not have the amount of fish chips needed to level up that fish, it will take your gems⌠( if you select level up, and continue ).
One last thing, it seems that when I catch fish, sometimes it will not show me the option to level up right away. Sometimes it will show that the option is available the next time I log on, or even the next day. This may be confusing if your expecting to see the level up option as soon as you have caught enough of a fish to level it up. * If you know you have caught enough fish to level one up, but it is not showing the option, try refreshing. Example: only one more fish is needed in order for a level up, and you caught that 1, or multiple of that fish on one real in.
*If you leveled up your fish as described above, but you are not seeing the level of the fish go up, that is a whole other issue, and I donât know if a refresh would work⌠But you can take screen shots and contact customer service through an email with the before and after photos for more assistance if that is the case. Big shout out to customer service by the way, I can see the improvements your making with every interaction, and i THANK YOU !

P.S. if your not aware, when you pick a time for your bait when you cast, the option to catch a fish quicker will appear just above the reel in. But this option will use your gems! and does NOT count as a level up.
Purchasing and catching fish are different ( if by purchasing you mean leveling up ). What your describing sounds like you are catching fish, which will then need to be leveled up with fish chips once you have caught enough of them to allow for a level up⌠see my other response for a more detailed description and see if that helps. ![]()
Hi everyone! I would like to add two questions:
- What does XP mean?
- What do the numbers behind XP mean?
I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Hugs,
Rina
XP is a gaming term for experience. The more experience you gain, the more you can level up. XP shows you how close your fish is to leveling up. If you catch more of the same fish, you will gain more XP to level it up.
Thank you for your quick response, Samantha, but Iâm still confused. Maybe an example can help:
Iâve got an Emperor Angelfish at Level 23. My XP is 13/20.
What does â13/20â say about my experience? How close am I to leveling up?
You will need to catch more Emporer Angelfish to get your XP to 20/20 to level up.
I have 3,126 Fishinâ Chips. Which of the below fish should I level up and why?
Thank you for your advice!
NONE of my fish are doing anything. Nothing. Zip. I am so not pleased.
I hope youâll have more luck soon. Iâm not so pleased at the moment either. I havenât been getting any party passes lately, and I still donât know which fish I should level up. ![]()
Ive not had passes in around a week. No level ups on several and now I canât get to post. Pics wont go though. Iâm stuck with a huge amount on one fish fish chips I simply do not have. Doing the best I can with what knowledge I have about such XPs and stuff. Im still here but very disappointed in the process.
@Kathy77 Wow, youâve got a great amount of Fishinâ Chips and gems. I better use my stuff before I get stuck too. Good luck to you!
I personally would do the Whitetip Reef Shark, just because it needs so few, and also the Spottiest Reef Crab and Longnose Lancetfish because theyâre the highest level on the page other than the Reef Shark. OK, I looked at the rest of your pictures, but I stick to my choices for which to raiseâŚthen start saving for the next batch. It really doesnât matter which ones you do, just do some.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. Iâm glad that it really doesnât matter which ones I do. I invested some of my gems to level up the fish, as I donât receive too many Fishinâ Chips.
How often do you âcash outâ seems to be every 12 hours, but I usually wait till the next day â more coins?
I usually cash out whenever the option pops up, which is most often twice a day, though sometimes it only allows once a day for a few days to a week. The real question is which method gives the highest payoutsâor is it?
From my experience, cashing out once a day seems to yield more, almost like the prizes stack. But then I wonder, if I cashed out twice, would the total be less, more, or about the same? I think itâs similar to the box systemâthe more often you cash in or collect, the more chances you have at better rewards. For example, if I stick to brown boxes, I might get coins, charms, or party passes, but they drop about every 10 minutes, which is six times more frequent than blue boxes, twelve times more than gold, and twenty-four times more than purple. Thatâs why I suggest mixing it up and tracking your total value when collecting multiple times a day to figure out your best shot at higher payouts, better charms, gems, and party passes. I also believe that extra interaction with the game boosts the overall value of the rewards I get from the boxes and the fish i catch⌠Just a thought.
I see many people trying out different waiting times to collect on all three, the treasure tank, the boxes, and the fish⌠I still think the more that i collect the more chances i have to collect equals higher total value over all, but i mix it up now and then when it seem that approach is not working that day.
