I’ve noticed more and more when I catch a fish and it goes into my Aquarium, the box that shows how many points I need to get it to the next level up isn’t displaying. I see it once in awhile, but not regularly. When I don’t see it, I have to click on the Level Up sort to find out whether or not my catch is ready be upgraded.
It’s not a huge deal but a convenient feature that I’d gotten used to having, which now requires an extra step to get the information when it doesn’t appear. I’m getting a lot more level up opportunities than I used to, so maybe the box doesn’t appear when the fish is eligible for upgrading. I just realized that I don’t know what gets displayed, if anything, when upgrading is available. @Samantha can you clarify this for me? Thank you.

Yes, the box with the Experience Points, where it shows how many you have and how many you need for the next level upgrade.

Do you have any fish at max level? This would be level 50.
If you have a fish that’s max level, you wouldn’t see any progress to show when you can next level it up.

No, my highest fish are only Level 35.
I caught quite a few fish today although I didn’t keep a count, but only saw the progress box once. Most of them qualified immediately to be leveled up after the Experience Points were added, but not before. Of my 238 fish, I only have three that can be leveled up, but haven’t been because they’re too expensive. A few that I caught today still didn’t have enough points to upgrade, which I saw after sorting by Level Up.

I’ve been getting that a lot lately as well as, when I don’t ‘cash’ my treasure fish first, the announcement to collect them in the bottom left corner continues to flash, and I can’t click it to collect my treasure; I then have to close the fishtank and reenter it…but since I’m usually going to check for level ups, that’s not much of a problem, just an observation.
I’ve also caught 238 of the various species of fish, I have 106 ready for level up though. The main reason for this is the fact that I’m in Washington state and not a paying customer. In fact, you may already know that they won’t even take my money since I am in Washington.
My highest level fish is an Arrowhead Dogfish at level 17. I have 104 of 238 ready to level up now, and I’ve spent about 4000 gems leveling fish up for about the last week. But today, I got another 1600 gems in a bonus box, so I will be able to do some more.
I have the same problem. Mine stopped showing it a few months back after the game switched to seven seas

Caught a few new ones since my last post here, up to 247 out of 288, with 106 ready to level up.
just checked. i have 263 of the 288 available. 208 need leveled up. and i don’t do anything with my fish and chips.. i have 120,781 available to use. hahaha. maybe someday ill use them.

I might have about 150 ready to level up if I hadn’t been working on them really hard in the last couple of weeks. I know I’ve spent at least 5000 gems in that time and fewer but also quite a few fishin’ chips.
