I don’t understand these Party Passes. They are worthless without also using Gems. I really have no interest in these parties. Maybe if you offer some explanation on their purpose. I keep getting them more & more often. Can I give them away? Trade them or just stop receiving them. They are just piling up.
If you attend “grab n go” parties, you don’t need gems. Just a thought.
Not aware of that. Any time I thought of trying a party, it insisted needed gems. I still have no idea just what these parties are or are for. Is there any where explaining the rules of a party?
I thought the same when I first came to this site. Then I found out that all those party passes are a good thing. You will get lots of charms, depending on whose party. These charms will increase the wins in whatever game you’re playing and your total amount of coins will grow. Yes, you need to spend some gems but I believe in my case, it was well worth the parties. You don’t need to chat with anyone, but it will be nice of you to buy a charm or two for the people in that party. If you don’t and you enter the parties a lot just to get charms, they will think you’re not a good sport. I am really happy that I started going into the parties. I have met some really nice people through them. Good luck and hope this helps you understand more about parties.
Ok, thanks Kath773. Guess I will try a few, to see how they go. The intent was not over socialize. Though my thoughts on that are changing. Some fun, interesting people here. The games are great. Seeing the interaction of many is entertaining. Never hurts to make more friends.
Not too happy though. Since questioning & complaining about getting so many Party Passes, I keep getting more. Every balloon box color has given me party passes. Even on the Sea of Riches! The spins are hitting them. I jinxed myself. Too funny … and sad.
@Suspenders_Bob if you play games you win coins, but if you play using charms you win bigger amounts. (just reminder to go to charm settings and take it OFF of auto, otherwise it will eat them all up .. you can then go back pick up to 4 you want to use. the higher the clover, the bigger the pay) i mostly go to the higher grab and go, (like shrooms, and other 3 to 4 clover charms) unless its a friend that i know. like chi chi does lower grab and go.. and i will go to them. so if i see a party, and i am not sure of the host i will click on their profile, see if they are quest, tourist or vip.. i dont like to go to no host parties. Grab and go are good because you can use passes only (as long as you have enough for that party) and then when it says you got all your charms, you can go. some like to throw a few on their own.. as extra, or you can just gift the host a nice charm, or coin spin. etc. the only time i go to the other 2 parties, that are not grab and go is when they do double charm deals, or gems for all prizes.. or i know everyone in there will throw.
I also don’t tend to go to the low end ones, they dont pay out well. i mean i have 40,000 plus charms on hand, and usually dont play the low end (1 clover charms)
read peoples bios and see how long they have been here. and also many of us do theme parties. i do fro fridays. (afro hair, available on deck, for men, you might have to change to lady face to purchase, then go back) . and at Halloween and other holidays we do themes. like ugliest outfit, (that is where you take the ugliest and mix and match) and also i do ugly mask parties. If i ever get the panda head ill throw a panda party.. also jammies parties.. there is way to have fun and earn charms. Hope this helps !!! find some us on and request friendship. BB
oh and also you will get more passes towards the end of the month, they know we are tight on money.. haha go look at my profile and see what i won in the last week!!!
I see we get more passes. I do all the challenges each month. Fun to complete. Guess I’ll just let them pile up. Tried 3 times to get on a party. Could not. Each time full. And most want too many Gems. I see no reason to even have passes, if the gems are really what they need. Maybe I’m missing the whole point. Will check out your profile.
@Suspenders_Bob, there are three types of parties - Grab & Go, Buster, and Buster Blitz. Grab & Go and Buster parties will show the entry fee in gems, but if you have the same number of passes as gems shown, you can use them instead of gems to enter the party. Most players make it a rule not to use gems to enter a party, since gems can be used to buy lots of different things, but party passes are only good for paying the entry fee to attend parties.
Click on a Buster Blitz party to see the details. It will show two boxes on the right hand side. The top one says “Entry Charm” and just like the other types of parties, you can use the same number of passes as the number of gems shown to enter the party. Underneath that box is another one called “Party Buster Charm”. This means you must pay that amount of gems when you pay your entry fee, and will receive the number of charms specified when the party starts. Underneath the boxes is the Party Buster meter. This shows how far the required Party Buster Charm buy will pre-fill the meter. These parties assure that everyone who attends the party will automatically buy the specified number of Buster charms, so no worries about any guests not contributing. It’s up to the guests as to whether they will buy enough additional charms with gems at the party to move the meter to the end and “bust” the party.
When a party busts, the guests at the party receive all the party charms, all the charms that other guests buy, plus any meter prizes that are shown at intervals on the meter, as the gems spent for the additional charms move the meter along. The last meter prize is usually the most valuable one, and may be a high clover charm that’s not available for purchase, or possibly a box of gems.
Always click on the details of any party you’re interested in attending, so you can see if there’s additional information about the party. Some hosts will require that all guests toss a certain charm or number of charms at a Buster party. Since tourists aren’t able to customize details of their parties, check their profiles to see extra party info. For instance some tourists do only Grab n Go parties but are unable to show that on the party listing itself. Grab n Go parties are usually quick in and outs because there’s no meter. Even so, many guests will buy additional charms for the group, so it pays to stick around and collect those, although when you do that you’re usually expected to contribute an extra charm or charms yourself. If you don’t or can’t do that, you can always leave as soon as the party charms are distributed.
You mentioned that you’ve tried to go to a number of parties but they were already full. Certain popular hosts’ parties will fill 10 minutes or more prior to the start of the party, so go early to make sure you can get in. Note in your head or keep a list of those hosts whose parties fill early.
This doesn’t apply to parties held in public rooms, which is any room that’s not a player’s cabin. Included are the Main Deck Ship’s Lounge, VIP Lounge, Wedding Chapel, and party rooms at the various ports and in-between port stops. To enter these parties you must wait until the party starts to enter. Be poised with your mouse over the party start countdown at least a minute or two before start time, so you’ll be ready to enter as soon as the party starts.
Also, at all three types of parties, popular hosts may fill their main party quickly and other guests trying to get in will be sent to an overflow room. If someone in the overflow room notifies the host that there’s overflow, they can announce it to the main party and guests can go there if they want after the main party ends, as long as the overflow hasn’t filled up by then.
Why should you use passes and go to parties? It’s a cycle that is the only way to get ahead without spending way too much money here. You go to parties to get charms and meet new friends. Friends invite their friends to their parties or parties that need more guests in order to start. Friends can also help give you advice about the best ways to get ahead here based on their experience. You can also get gems as meter prizes at some parties. You can use gems instead of passes to enter parties (not recommended), buy party charms and gifts for your friends, Sea of Riches spins and extra power ups in some games, and substitute gems for Fishin’ Chips and avatar tokens, . Having a large group of friends to party with will make you more successful at getting ahead on the site, plus possibly allowing you to make long lasting friendships that you never would have had otherwise.I think it’s one of the best features of 7 Seas.
Hope this helps make the party aspect of 7 Seas a little more clear, and shows why you should use your passes to go to parties. Also check out the other articles on Help about the different types of Treasure Balloon boxes. Each one has a symbol above it that shows what could possibly be in it, gems, charms, coins, or passes. Only boxes showing a lightning bolt strike are guaranteed to have the prize represented by the symbol above it. Look quick because the lightning comes and goes fast, but you can wait maybe 20 seconds and it will display again if you missed it the first time.
I know this is a lot of information to digest, but when you’ve been here longer and have played more, the interconnections of all the pieces and parts of the site will begin to make much more sense. If you have any questions or are confused about anything, pls ask. Best of luck to you
Thank you! This is very helpful!
