Good idea, but it will take me forever to get to 100000 Fishin’ Chips.
Yes, very nice. Wish I could get even one to max level. But since you only get Fishin’ Chips in the once daily ‘treasure chest’, that hardly seems likely.
no its too expensive. lol
Half literally half the time my fish will not level up. ! ! !
I did find out that if you use gems and no Fishin’ Chips to level up a fish, you sometimes (if not always) get a few Fishin’ Chips with it.
I unfortunately have to use my gems for quite a bit of it as with everything else on here.
I leveled a bunch of fish from one to two and other levels that were fairly cheap, with just gems, since I’d already used all the Fishin’ Chips I had at the time…I’m kinda regretting that now as I haven’t got any more gems lately in my bonus balloon box.
I know it takes time. I’ve done everything I’m suppose to do to get more passes in my balloon boxes and no improvements. I would love to be a positive Polly Anna all the time but nope.
I get tons of passes, I was down to practically none just a few days ago, but I’m back over 5K.
Ray the Devil, You are not helping my emotional plight. ![]()
I didn’t realize I was supposed to.
Leveling up your fish is the key to getting more gems and passes in your treasure balloons and aquarium treasure collections. If you want to get ahead here, you need to devote a portion of your gems for leveling up your fish along with your Fishin Chips, and upgrade whenever you can. Don’t think of spending gems on your fish as a cost but rather as an investment, that pays you back dividends of more passes, gems, coins, and higher level charms. Not spending your Fishin Chips is like putting your money under the mattress. No investment, no return.
1 gem = 15 Fishin Chips
I usually level up any fish that is eligible each time I reel in my catch. Many fish aren’t very expensive to level up. Upgrading daily, usually one level at a time, spreads the expense out so it’s not such a big hit. Also I’ve noticed I usually only catch fish that I can afford to level up with the Fishin Chips I already have or with the addition of a minimal amount of gems.
Compare the amount of Fishin Chips needed to upgrade different fish to the same level to decide which ones you should upgrade first. The more the upgrade cost per XP, the higher the payback. It’s not true that Legendary and Rare fish all payback more than Uncommon and Common fish, so don’t use that as your guideline when upgrading.
I have 245 of the 288 total fish. My highest level fish is at Level 41. Here’s a pic of one of my recent 7 day Aquarium Treasure Collections.
Except for the three listed below, all my fish are upgraded as much as they can be. These three as the most expensive ones I have that could be leveled up.
Powder Blue Tang Uncommon Level 3 To Level 4: 75,000 FC (5,000 gems)
Southern Right Whale Uncommon Level 4 To Level 5: 93,750 FC (6,250 gems)
Selkie Legendary Level 5 To Level 6: 67,500 FC (4,500 gems)
As you can see only one is Legendary and the other two are Uncommon. Both Uncommon fish cost 18,750 Fishin Chips per XP to upgrade, but the Legendary fish only costs 11,250 Fishin Chips per XP, so it’s payback will be less than the two Uncommon fish. I would level up the two Uncommon fish first, if I could afford to, before upgrading the Legendary one.
I’m up to 273/288 breeds. I’ve got two types up to level 20 and 150 ready to level up, most well below level 20.
wow thats is awesome must have taken a very long time fishnchip tokens are hard to get
Yes they are @Joei. You’ll never get enough Fishin Chips to level your fish up enough to where you’re getting good payback in your Aquarium Treasure and Balloon Boxes. That’s why you need to use a combination of Fishin Chips and gems to upgrade them.
As I said in one of my posts, 7 Seas often gives me fish to level up that are about equal to the Fishin Chips I have, along some gems. Here’s a fish I leveled up today after getting enough XP points when I reeled him in.
sYou can see I have 378 Fishin Chips. This fish costs 375 Fishin Chips and 65 gems to upgrade from Level 17 to Level 18. That’s pretty reasonable, so I’ll go ahead and do the upgrade. Yes, some fish cost more Fishin Chips and gems than this one to level up, but investing in the upgrades that you can afford to do as soon as your fish has enough XPs, you’ll get more passes, gems, and higher level charms in your Aquarium Treasure and your Balloon Boxes for a relatively small cost. Doing upgrades like this daily spreads the costs over time, while paying you back for your investment.
Here’s the next fish I caught yesterday, eligible for leveling up.
After my first level up, I only had 3 Fishin Chips left, so 7 Seas gave me a fish that only cost 4 gems to upgrade. Of course I went ahead and did that.
One thing I find difficult about the whole Aquarium thing is that we can’t decide which fish we’d like to own and/or level up, and then get the XP points we need to upgrade those fish. 7 Seas apparently uses AI to choose which fish we’ll catch and how many XP points we get at a time, but we have no control over it.
This is totally opposite of how you build your city in Casino World. There you choose which buildings you want to buy for your city, and which ones you want to turn into monuments, as well as when and how you upgrade them. Building Bucks and/or gems can be used to buy or upgrade almost any building. Increasing the amount and level of 7 Seas Aquarium fish and CW’s city buildings both serve to increase your coin income, plus the amount of passes, gems and levels of charms you get.
I decided to do an inventory of my fish rarity and levels to see how the 7 Seas AI system has played out for me. Here’s what it showed. My highest level fish is the Black Marlin, Uncommon, Level 41.
Legendary fish: 29 of 41 total
Rare fish: 51 of 66 total
Uncommon fish: 83 of 90 total
Common fish: 82 of 91 total
Level 31-50: 10 total fish; 1 Legendary, 4 Rare, 4 Uncommon, 1 Common
Level 20-30: 21 total fish; 2 Legendary, 2 Rare, 10 Uncommon, 21 Common
Level 10-19: 89 total fish; 8 Legendary, 20 Rare, 31 Uncommon, 30 Common
Level 1-9: 125 total fish; 18 Legendary, 25 Rare, 38 Uncommon, 44 Common
