How the Auction Shop Works

The auction shop is a special feature where players can bid against each other to win exclusive outfits using avatar tokens. Here’s a step-by-step overview:

  1. Listing Items: Limited-edition outfits are listed in the auction shop for a specific period. Each item has a starting bid and a time limit for bidding.

  2. Placing Bids: Players can place bids on their desired outfits by committing a certain number of avatar tokens. Each bid must be higher than the current highest bid.

  3. Bidding Duration: The auction has a set duration, during which players can continue to bid. If no higher bids are placed before the timer ends, the highest bidder wins.

  4. Winning and Claiming: Once the auction ends, the player with the highest bid wins the outfit and can claim it from the shop. The avatar tokens used for bidding are deducted from their account, The name of the player with the highest bid will be revealed to show who got the item.

  5. Extensions: To prevent last-second sniping, some auctions may extend if a bid is placed in the final moments, giving others a chance to respond.

  6. Multiple Auctions: Several outfits can be auctioned simultaneously, encouraging players to participate in multiple bidding wars.

This system creates a fun, competitive environment where players can strategize and bid actively to secure rare outfits, making the shopping experience more engaging and rewarding.

That sounds great except for one thing: not everyone on 7 Seas can afford the excessive number of tokens it will take to bid against some of the more elite players.

I understand your point, but imagine elite players constantly fighting for overtime they might end up using all their tokens quickly. This could leave little to no tokens for newcomers or players who have been playing for months or years. However, over time, everyone will have a chance to get a piece of something since the shop can be restocked with different tiers. This way, even if elite players use up their tokens quickly, others will still have opportunities to participate and grab rewards as new items come in.

@Ahmad over a year ago, i suggested adding limited edition shoppe items to the VIP area… and updating its. Because lets face it.. it is boring being there.. it would encourage more people to become VIP if there was an incentive for limited edition, (and i am not talking 14,000 avatar tokens either) that was only available to VIP lounge guests.
