My impressions on the new port, Rome.

First I want to say ty 7 Seas for giving us a new port. However, I have quite a few problems with the way it’s structured. The new clothing designs are great, but apparently great designs come with a great price. The least expensive outfit is 1,750 avatar tokens and the most expensive is 7k.

Also why does the most expensive prize thingie require seahorses and not starfish like every other port? And if that’s the case, shouldn’t we be getting two seahorses and one starfish there instead of the other way around? I generally spend all but about 50 of my seahorses at the in-between port stops because the costs are more reasonable and you can get Fishin’ Chips there. So now I’m in Rome with very few seahorses.

Hi @TED58 . Each port or in-between port stop has two locations where you can use your starfish or seahorses (currency required is specified at the location) to get prizes. Each location has a prize list of the items you can win from it, but you don’t get to choose which prize you’ll get. You “pay your money and take your chances” lol.

Some charms from prize locations or charms you can buy at that port or in-between port stops using gems, are customized and only available at that stop. You can’t buy the inventory items and custom charms that are on the prize lists, you can only win them from the prize locations. Also you can’t win the inventory items in the store, you can only buy them using avatar tokens and/or gems. Hope this clears up your confusion.

The locations in some ports and most of the in-between port stops show Fishin’ Chips in their prize lists along with other prizes, although not in Rome right now. They may appear on the prize lists later though, once you’ve won some of the inventory items. When you win an inventory item, it’s removed from the prize list and replaced with a different prize.

In Rome, one of the prize locations is the grapes growing on the trellis on the wall, called “Trim the Leaves”. It costs 15 seahorses. The prizes are mostly inventory items, but you can also win coins, charms, a small amount of gems or avatar tokens. The second prize location is the Pizzeria, which costs 15 starfish. The prizes are some inventory items (shields and spears), avatar tokens, a few gems, and charms.

Each port or in-between ports stop also has a location which gives free prizes. To get them, just click on it. In Rome, it’s the Fountain. When you click on it, it will either give you a prize or tell you when you can get one. In most places, you’ll only get one or a few of the free prizes each time the ship visits there, but some places give them more often.

i love the graphics of the pizza oven and the grapevine.. i got all 3 of the inventory items from pizza and 3 of the 7 from grapevine.. Im not trying to get them all, otherwise ill have nothing to try for in the future. I am disappointed the fountain never worked YET.. on the first day, it said come back sunday. :frowning: i do agree, some of the outfits are a bit pricey, (like at CW all the time) i have not purchased anything yet.. Sadly i used my ava. tokens for the few Easter items, and we didnt get a lot this month doing our daily challenges.. but i do like the charms and what not. happy to have a new port! oh and i got EIGHT new fish at this port!!!
